A tough walk from Largs train station to Greeto Bridge on a hot day following the steep valley route.
This walk from Largs train station to Greeto Bridge followed the route of a steep valley on a very hot day. The climb was challenging from the start, with a long uphill stretch that tested my fitness and determination. At one point I considered turning back, but I kept going and eventually reached the top. The route offered clear views across the valley, but the heat made progress slow and demanding.
Along the way I was also looking for a path that appeared on my map app, but after searching carefully it became clear that the path did not exist on the ground. This added extra time and effort to the walk, and meant I had to adapt my route to continue towards the bridge.
The walk gave me the chance to reflect on my current level of fitness and how it has changed over time. The steep gradients were a reminder that even with regular walking, certain routes require more preparation and endurance. I also spoke about my YouTube journey so far, how these walks have motivated me to make more videos and how I can get more engagement.
By the time I reached Greeto Bridge, the sense of achievement outweighed the earlier struggle. This was not the easiest walk I have done, but it was one of the most rewarding in terms of effort, persistence, and the experience of exploring the steep valleys above Largs.
